Wow! What
a week!
At
Backyard Bible Club,
kids learned about Bible people who served their
families, friends, neighbors, and communities.
Clothesline Creations
is the site where kids created and
made fun
stuff! But it was more than that—it was about fun
stuff
that reinforces the Bible story and the Life Focus.
Community Corner
was a special site this year dedicated to
helping
kids learn about serving and then work together on
service projects. This was a tremendous
success this year!
And at
Backyard Food & Fun,
kids played fun games and
then made their own
snacks. And, of course, each day’s
games and snacks
connected to the Life Focus of the day!
The kids also learned a great lesson of giving with
our very
own Penny War. The kids bring pennies every
night (or buy
rolls of them from the registration table) and we
weigh each
group's pennies to see who won! These are the
totals!

The Serve Friends group are our Penny War Champions
because they brought the most pennies all week long.
And
each group won at least once! The total for
the Penny War
this year was 175.75 lbs or $274.23 which
will be divided between sending care packages to the
Troops in Iraq and
Doorstep.
We collected school supply donations once
again to
benefit the children of Avondale East
Elementary School.
